ANA PALMA

ANA PALMA was born in Lisbon in 1976. She graduated in Theatre – Acting by the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (ESTC). She has been a professional actress since 2001. She has a background in classical dance and martial arts. She joined the cast of Teatro da Garagem in 2001, where she co-founded the educational service. Ana Palma directed plays, as part of her work at the Company, namely “On the road, or the rainbow hour” by Carlos J. Pessoa, a show awarded by the Guia dos Teatros.

In collaboration with the Municipal Theatre of Bragança and with the Teatro da Garagem, she developed several projects with the community as an actress, trainer and director. She also collaborated with the Teatro dos Aloés, a professional theatre company, in the show “Ensaio”, written and directed by José Peixoto. She directed, in 2009, the professional aptitude exam of the students of the Contemporary Theatre Academy, Porto, with “Patchwork”, a co-creation with Maria João Vicente. She is also a trainer accredited by the IEFP and she has been developing various training and motivation projects in the field of business.

She is a regular collaborator, trainer and consultant in theatre at the International Faculty for Executives. She is currently co-responsible for the Educational Service and resident actress of the Company. In 2018 she was nominated for the Golden Globes in the category of Best Theatre Actress, for her performance in “Display”, 91st theatre production by Teatro da Garagem.
